Why Overexplaining Kills Attraction
Most people do not lose momentum because they say too little. They lose it because they explain too much.
Stop defending yourself in real time
When a conversation starts slipping, most people respond by adding more words.
That usually makes the problem worse.
Attraction rewards tension, not over-clarity
If someone asks where you have been, you do not need a courtroom statement. A calm answer is stronger than a perfect answer.
Overexplaining signals that you are trying to manage their perception instead of staying grounded in your own position.
A better rule
- Answer the question.
- Keep your tone clean.
- Leave room for the other person to lean back in.
Strong communication is rarely about saying everything. It is about saying the right amount with no visible strain.
